We Love Vancouver
We wanted to write this blog post because one of our values here at Brooks Corning is family – we feel like the Vancouver community is an extension of our family. We believe in shopping local and supporting other business that help enrich the city of Vancouver. The selection below includes a few of our favourite local spots that we thought deserved some love.
1. Balconi Floral (@balconifloral)
This florist has been our lovely neighbor since we moved into Olympic Village in 2014. They have provided us with gorgeous arrangements for events, our showroom and client appreciation. The custom green and white arrangement they helped us create is our personal favourite! Check out their Instagram to view all their gorgeous creations.

2. Breka (@brekabakery)
It was love at first bite. This local bakery has four locations around Vancouver and is open 24/7 (even on Christmas!), so you can get your sugar fix any time. Our go-to for team meetings is their doughnut selection, but their croissants and scones are better than your grandma’s.

3. Straight Outta Brooklyn (@straightbkpizza)
Pizza party’s and thirsty Thursday’s are only complete if we’ve ordered Straight Outta Brooklyn. Their Classic pepperoni and W.O.P. on thin crust are some of our favourites. You won’t find ranch dressing here – the owner is as traditional as Italian’s come. This never stops us from indulging in one too many extra slices.

4. Brassneck Brewery (@brassneckbrew)
Visit this intimate Brewery on Main for a flight or growler of your choice. To accompany the hand-crafted beer, try one of their delicious pepperoni sticks or spicy jerky bacon. Stocked in our mini fridge is the “Touchy Feely” and “Main Squeeze” for that end of day pick me up.

5. The Eastside Flea (@eastsideflea)
This market takes place in the iconic Ellis Building on Main St., which was built in 1907. You can grab a coffee or a cocktail, and shop around for the perfect item you never knew you needed! Stopping by Eastside Flea on a Saturday is the perfect spontaneous outing for when momma comes to town or when your best friend needs cheering up.

We’re always looking for new local businesses to support so if you have any that we should try, please write them in the comments below.
Excited to read your suggestions!
