Bob went to SFU on a wrestling scholarship and completed his BA in Business. He took multiple kinesiology courses which perpetuated his keen interest in ergonomics. After his degree, Bob spent the first years of his career in the investment field which he describes as “a very interesting introduction into the business world”. After five years, he ended up transitioning into the office furniture industry where he has been ever since. Passionate about health and fitness, outside of work he enjoys long distance cycling and running in the forest with his dog Bruno.

Kate grew up in New Zealand and after nearly 20 years locked inland is delighted to be back by the sea. Kate joined the Brooks Corning team at the end of 2016. Previously, Kate was Chairman and CEO for energy retailer, Simple Power in Austin, Texas. Kate received Bachelor’s Degrees in both Commerce and Administration (Accounting), and Arts (Education) from the Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand and has been awarded the designation of ICD.D by the Institute of Corporate Directors. She brings a breadth of business experience and she is passionate about empowering employees and building high performing teams. When not working Kate can be found in the garden or hiking on the Northshore trails with her family and dog Patch.

Ivana was born in Belgrade, Serbia – a beautiful, sunny country and moved to Vancouver a bit more than a year ago. Ivana is our Systems & Business Analyst. She is very experienced in operations – she assists Brooks Corning with everything from processing invoices, IT questions, and operations help. Ivana has her BA and Master’s in Business Economics. She has spent lots of time in the USA doing student exchange programs; her favorite city that she lived in was Boston. Outside of work, she loves Pilates, long walks and trying new food. On weekends she loves to plan vacations and watch documentaries.

Laura is one of the few ‘locals’, born in Richmond, BC. She has a Diploma of Technology in Marketing Management from BCIT. Laura has been with Brooks Corning since 1995 and in the contract furnishings industry for over thirty years. Her role as Workplace Consultant fits her detail-oriented approach, passion for building & maintaining long-term client relations and her desire to ensure her client’s projects are successful. Laura loves outdoor sports, especially golfing and mixed slow-pitch.

Born and raised in Iran, Latty began working at Brooks Corning in 2000. She holds a Masters Degree in Architecture form the University of Iran. Latty volunteers for many different organizations including Ballet BC for over 10 years, and actively supports several different organizations including VPA and WIA. She has travelled to over 60 cities around the world and now calls Coal Harbour her home. She is very proud of her two sons that now live in Calgary and San Francisco.

Born and raised in Vancouver, Julie can be found trekking through trails with her dog Sammi, sampling beer flights at a local craft brewery or planning her next backpacking adventure.

Brandon has been working in office furniture sales since 2012. Previously, he studied Business Management at Kwantlen Polytechnic University and played on both the men's golf and baseball team. Brandon focuses on a consultative approach – he presents solutions that will add value to the client's workplace. His knowledge and understanding is supplemented by the many industry networking events and information sessions that he has attended. He brings a fun and positive attitude into work and is known for his occasional meme jokes around the office.

Gordon is Director of Merchandising and Brand Management. In addition to his role as A+D representative, he oversees our ancillary furnishings category - managing and growing our portfolio of products. Gordon’s previous experience includes senior leadership roles within the luxury jewelry and construction industries where he assisted organizations to define and cultivate a culture that would propel their brand forward. Hardwired with a passion for design and all things beautiful, Gordon’s passion for furniture began at a young age. His very first furniture purchase was a pair of Le Corbusier LC2 armchairs. In his free time he enjoys searching the web for an elusive Robbsjohn-Gibbings dining table and adventures with his family which include Walnut - the most adorable Border Terrier ever.

Shiyan Jiang, from Canton, China, moved to Vancouver in 2007. She holds a Diploma of Interior Design from both BCIT and Visual College of Art and Design – Shiyan became a part of the Brooks Corning team in June 2017. She is experienced in Residential Interior Design. Her goal is to assist the client in creating their desired work environment. Shiyan is working toward building a healthier life style, and has discovered the magic of refreshing the brain from exercising after work.

Raised in Atlanta, Chicago and Australia, Whitney developed strong social skills that have given her the advantage to maneuver any environment. She received her BA in Hospitality and Event Management from Florida International University. In 2011, Whitney co-founded an Artist Management and Marketing company, while establishing a non-profit organization named Pop-Up Piano Miami. Through Whitney’s experience in brand development and website design, she has had a smooth transition in applying these skills to her role as Marketing Coordinator at Brooks Corning. Outside of work, Whitney spends her time dancing and singing around her apartment.

Kim joined Brooks Corning in October 2016 as a Client Services Coordinator. Kim brings extensive experience in Customer Service and Management, including 16 years in the commercial furniture industry. Kim likes monitoring all the details in a project and working with each team to ensure nothing is overlooked. Her number one concern is completing each project successfully and resulting in a happy customer. Outside of the office Kim enjoys spending time making memories with her extended family.

Born and raised in British Columbia`s Lower mainland, Melissa joined Brooks Corning in early 2014 as an Installer. With 13 years experience in Customer Service and Management, her transition to a Client Service Coordinator came just 6 months after her start. As a Client Services Coordinator, Melissa works directly with Clients, Workplace Consultants, our Operations Team, and Manufacturers to manage the flow of services and paperwork. The Brooks Corning team relies on her unique skill set to ensure no detail of the project is overlooked. Melissa is a social being who enjoys spending her time with friends and her very large family.

Trish was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. After a labour of love (and 4 hours a day on public transportation), she received her English degree from SFU. From there, she began a three-year stint at a local retail start-up called Kit and Ace where she was a trainer and coach for an extremely fast paced and growing customer service team. Building excellent client relationships is something that Trish has always taken seriously. With over 12 years of experience in sales, she is very excited about her role at Brooks Corning – working in clienteling, small sales, and marketing. During her down time, Trish loves to attend as many concerts as possible, spend time with her friends & family, and walk the Seawall.

Amanda has been in the office furniture industry since 2001 and has been with Brooks Corning since 2009. She has recently completed her CCA Gold Seal designation as a qualified Project Manager. Amanda works closely with the Installation and Client Services departments. She is essential in making sure all aspects of a project run smoothly. Some of her special interests include Waste Diversion and endorsing sustainable practices, nature & animals, and international cooking.

Rory has been working in the furniture industry since 1986. He started off working for the Sheraton Hotel Project Office on a three hotel renovation. The move to the modular furniture industry started with Haworth dealerships, Syncor and Gio-tec, where he progressed from Lead installer to Operations Manager to Project Manager. Rory joined the Brooks Corning team in 2005. He excels in customer service, project completion and smooth office reconfigurations - deliveries, office densification and expansion. When he’s not at work, Rory enjoys exploring the South West US deserts, camping and off road travels.

Eric is a 20-year veteran of the office furniture industry. He has excelled in many roles over his career at Brooks Corning. His unbridled passion for detail and creating the ultimate client experience is second to none. Eric makes it his personal goal to ensure all projects are completed to the utmost customer satisfaction. Mentoring young talent to excel is what fuels his passion during the week. Away from work Eric can be found playing hockey at the local rink, spending time in the forest mountain biking or hiking, and enjoying a craft beer to relax.

Bret is a true local, born in Vancouver and raised in Coquitlam. He’s got a solid educational background, having attended Langara and BCIT. Since 2008, Bret has been an integral part of the Brooks Corning team. He started as a junior installer, worked his way up, and has been a Warehouse Manager for the past four years.
What Bret loves most about his job is the personal connections he makes with clients every day. He thrives on helping meet their needs and ensuring they are satisfied. Outside of work, you’ll often find Bret fishing in the beautiful lakes of interior B.C. and hiking in the local mountains of the lower mainland.

Megan has recently joined Brooks Corning from Wellington, New Zealand. In her free time she spends time with family and loves to study horror special effect make-up.

Katia is our South America connection! She is from Brazil but has been living in Vancouver since 2016 – she began at Brooks Corning in July 2017. After completing her Accounting Degree in her home country, she decided to acquire an international designation within her field: the CPA. Driven by that, she moved to Canada to accomplish this goal. Katia embraces diversity and is engaged in projects where she can help international people like her explore their identity abroad. Katia has a love for chocolate, books and travelling the world!

Ravi attended BCIT to obtain a Business Information Technology Management Diploma, and joined Brooks Corning in 2016. He has a slight obsession with his cars and loves lazy days with his little monster of a dog.

Tai was born in Japan, raised in Tokyo, California and Toronto. He was a guitar major at University of Toronto and received a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance. Tai is a seasoned guitar player who has been playing professionally for 25 years. He has extensive experience working as a guitar instructor and HVAC maintenance and service work. He came on board with Brooks Corning in 2016 and enjoys working with his hands.

Leilani is from Victoria, BC and currently lives in Vancouver. As a Junior Installer at Brooks Corning, she has worked in some of Vancouver’s most beautiful buildings. Leilani enjoy’s seeing modern furniture against old brick - a contrast found in many of Vancouver's heritage buildings. When on the job, it never gets old to see the city skyline meet the ocean and mountains from 30 floors up. It’s exciting getting to know each client by seeing their culture reflected in their design choices. It's also interesting to see the same piece of furniture or product in a different setting. Watching a site go from a construction zone to a functional, comfortable, stylish space is always satisfying.

Although this is Jason’s first time delivering furniture, he has been a delivery driver for 17 years. Being a professional driver with his class 1 license and accumulating years of experience enables Jason to be a productive team member and valuable addition to the company. Outside of work, he enjoys playing sports such as basketball, volleyball and golf. On weekends he spends time with his niece and nephew as their basketball coach and trainer.

Dan was born and raised in Saskatchewan. He moved to Alberta to attend the University of Calgary, ultimately earning his Bachelor of Science in Geography. He got his start in office furniture as a part-time labourer while at the U of C. Continuing in installation after he moved to Vancouver, Dan joined Brooks Corning in 2015 as an installer and worked his way to a Design Manager position.
Born and raised on a subtropical island, Formosa (where people are friendly and passionate), Aria has been in the Architecture and Interior Design industry for 5 years. With a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Aria specializes in concept design, brand image, creative space planning for retail brands, restaurants, and high-end custom homes. In her spare time, she runs a blog writing about her little observations on cultural differences, traveling, Swiss culture, gourmet cooking and RVing. Her favorite and most memorable experience is to walk through different towns and cities step by step in Europe and Asia.

With 30 years’ in customer service and management, Karen brought her extensive experience to Brooks Corning in January 2018.As an Order Management Coordinator, Karen works directly with clients, workplace consultants, operations and manufacturers to ensure a smooth order process, and timely job completion for our valued clients. Outside of the office Karen enjoys road trips, concerts & plays, cooking, shopping, and spending time with loved ones.

Justine was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. Her background and education is in dance, teaching and performing. After working seasonally since 2010 for BC’s largest reforestation company, Justine joined the Brooks Corning team in February 2018. Justine is known for having the friendliest face in the office. She came on board as our receptionist – helping organize everything from employees, clients, events and services. She also dedicates time to keeping our OH&S Program (Occupational Health and Safety) up to date. In her free time, Justine loves teaching dance, hiking, rock climbing, seeing live music and being with her family.

With over 20 years of experience in the office furniture industry, Ryan has an extensive knowledge of every aspect from delivery and installations, project management and sales, helping ensure projects are completed as efficiently as possible. He has spent a number of years working on some of the largest projects throughout the lower mainland and built a reputation for delivering high results. Ryan has spent his entire life in BC where he and his wife Sabrina have a 10 year old, Hayden and a 7 year old, Rylan. When they are at home, they love to catch a movie or take their dog out to the park to burn some energy.

Sam was born in La Paz, Bolivia. He lived in many different countries during his childhood and adult life including Brazil, Ecuador, USA. Sam previously spent 10 years working in New York City as a Warehouse Manager. In one of his travels he met and fell in love with a Russian/Canadian girl and recently moved to Vancouver to be with his wife. In his free time, Sam enjoys being outdoors with his wife doing Calisthenics, playing guitar, Reading the Bible, trying new food and walks around Nature.

Raha moved to Canada in 2008. She holds a Master of Interior Design from University of Nicosia in Cyprus and Bachelors degree in Fine Art from the Soore University in Tehran. She also attended the Interior Design program at BCIT in 2010 to upgrade her design knowledge based on BC building codes. She also received AUTOCAD awards from BCIT. Raha is experienced and specializes in specifying system furniture and successfully completed many projects related to banks, government & educational institutions. Her goal as a designer is to be always creative and assist the client to design of their desired work environment. Living in Cyprus by Mediterranean see with Greek culture was the most memorable experience in her life. Raha loves decorating spaces, following fashion trends and shows, doing art work & painting.

Eric Ramirez Immigrated from El Salvador with his family at age 3. He grew up in Vancouver and since an early age has been naturally curious to learn how things work and operate. With a Diploma in International Trade and a Certified International Trade Professional from FITT, Eric has over 8 years’ experience working in Operations with a focus in Supply Chain Management. Previous to Brooks Corning, Eric worked for such companies as BuildDirect Technologies Inc, TransGroup Worldwide Logistics, Delta Hotels and Docksteaders Automotive to name a few. From here, Eric leverages an unconventional approach to business and a bag full of new ideas. He loves learning new ways of doing things and challenging the status quo. He is a strong believer in failing forward and failing often and approaches any situations with a positive 'can do' attitude.

Kevin is our Operations Director! Kevin comes with an abundance of both education and experience. To give you a bit of insight into his impressive resume, Kevin has an MBA in Organizational Leadership from Royal Roads, a Certification of LEAN Six Sigma Master Black Belt, a Certification of Change Management from ProSci and finally, he is also has a Certification as an Executive Coach from Royal Roads. Kevin is passionate about many things, particularly transparent team communication, building relationships, and the discovery and continuous development of standard practices within the workplace. He loves getting outside, learning guitar and travelling.

Peter was born in Taipei, Taiwan and moved with his family to San Francisco when he was 13 1/2. Peter received a Building Technology Diploma from BCIT. Peter started in this industry in June, 1995. He joined the Teknion dealership as a Product Specialist in 1995, specified hired to do computer aided specification. Throughout his last 23 years, aside from the specification role, Peter has done sales, project management, and account management which lead him to become a Workplace Consultant at Brooks Corning. Peter is very mechanically minded so he enjoys knowing the details on how objects are designed and constructed. Outside of work, Peter has his own studio where he designs and makes his own furniture. Some are for his own use, but most are for customers. He is interested in furniture design, interior design, architecture and industrial design. Peter is married with 2 kids. His wife and him have been together since 1989. He has made some really long lasting friendships – both from BCIT and the furniture community.

Enrique comes from Morelia, in South Mexico. His background is in Industrial Engineering – and he received his Masters Degree in Biomedical Engineering. Enrique’s focus is in systems training and processes improvement. He believes that adding value to customers and differentiating from the competition are a huge part of great strategy! In his previous experience, Enrique worked in the oil and gas industry at Shell Canada for 4 years as an Integrity Analyst. He then moved to a Project Manager at Baboon Trading where he oversaw the importing of foods from overseas to the Restaurant Industry in B.C. In his free time, Enrique loves to play tennis (even in the winter 😊) and swim. He also loves the outdoors – especially hiking around this area. Two of his biggest passions are reading and jazz music.

Fred has spent over 2 decades in the Office Furniture Industry as an Installer. He ran his own Installation company that taught him that constant learning about product, people, and procedure is the best path for success. Recently, Fred also took First Aid classes and decided to get his Commercial Boating license. Fred fell in love with fishing in 2014 – he believes it is amazing what fishing can do for the mind and body. Fred stumbled across a brilliant man named Wim Hof while on a quest for self improvement. Wim has an App called the Wim Hof Method that has guided him to a healthy mind and body. His philanthropic efforts have been to be a positive person as often as I can and offering more free smiles than a fast food chain. Fred’s Mother has been an inspiration to focus on a healthy diet and try and lead and active life style – as he says, he can't keep up to her, but he tries!

Born in Trinidad and with brief stints in Scotland, Nigeria and England, Carla joined her British parents and immigrated to the Lower Mainland when she was 6. Her first career venture took her to the Okanagan to open the booming Starbucks market. In 2003, she took the opportunity to live an adventure in Nashville, TN where she found her passion for architecture and construction. After being homesick got the best of her, she returned to BC in 2018 and found an opportunity to join Brooks Corning and connect her knowledge with a team more focused on design and sustainable work environments.

With a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Hilary has worked as a consulting Project Manager in the construction industry. Three years ago she took her experience from the construction and move management industry to her new role as Project Manager overseeing furniture installations. After six months of learning the physical complexities of systems furniture, Hilary shifted to a new role as a Workplace Consultant where she could apply her furniture knowledge to her client focused consulting approach. Hilary loves the creative aspect of working with designers to create beautiful spaces and environments people enjoy coming to. Growing up in Victoria, with a passion for travel and the outdoors, Hilary has been to 22 countries and can often be found hiking, camping, biking or skiing on one of our many mountains with her dog.

Sartaj was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba but moved to Vancouver, BC at the age of 6 months. In 2016, he moved out to North Vancouver and have been appreciating nature ever since. Sartaj has been involved in several companies, and he also has been working on his BBA in Financial Management. Most recently, he has worked for a sporting goods store in North Vancouver as an Assistant Manager. He was responsible for online sales, scheduling, customer relations and client orders- this was the perfect background to go into the CSC position. Sartaj says he is fortunate enough to have the whole world celebrate his birthday as it is on Halloween! Outside of work, Sartaj enjoys cooking, cleaning, playing video games, playing soccer (men’s league), and visiting his dog Tigger along with the rest of my family whenever he has some free time.

Will was born in North Vancouver and has lived in the lower mainland his entire life. He has recently completed his second year at the University of Western Ontario, where he is pursuing his Honours degree in Business Administration with a specialization in marketing and communications through the Ivey School of Business. In his studies, Will has gained valuable experience in the fields of database management and financial modelling. His role on the Client Services team allows him to be detail-oriented and to build relationships with clients. Outside of the office, Will is film buff. He enjoys camping, canoeing, archery, and both performing in, and watching, theatre. Will is an active community volunteer and is most proud of his long-standing role as youth liaison for the Pulling Together Canoe Society, an organization which works to enhance understanding between Public Service Agencies and Aboriginal Peoples. Recently, Will was chosen to represent BC on the Youth Council for Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB).

Gabby is from Brazil and moved to Vancouver 5 years ago! She graduated in June 2018 from a BCIT Program - International Trade & Logistics. Aligned with the program, Gabby focused her Canadian experience on Supply Chain and Logistics. Previously, she was the lead on the Supply Chain Department in a LED company where she met our Operations Manager, Rachael and worked with her for over a year and a half. Lucky for us we were able to snag both these wonderful ladies! Outside work, she enjoys hanging out with friends, spending the day at the beach or lake during summer! Gabby is a dog lover and loves spending time with her buddy, Loki (Husky/Lab). She misses her family a lot so when she can she usually takes time off to visit them in Brazil.

With over 5 years of system furniture experience, Jake has gained the experience to lead project with ability to initiate/manage a cross-functional team and multi-disciplinary projects with years of customer service and management experience. Tom is a New Zealander who's been living in Vancouver since 2019. He has a Bachelor of Science and Post-Graduate Diploma both from the University of Otago. Tom has worked in the customer service industry for most of his life - even starting at his Dad's retail shop when he was 14! Tom has been leading the Operations team at Brooks since 2023 after starting in the Client Services Team in 2020. Outside of work, Tom is a huge sports fan. Whether it is playing or spectating, he is into it. Tom is a craft beer lover, so he will often check out breweries after exercise - pretending he knows what he’s talking about and saying buzz words like 'malty' or 'hoppy'.

Natalie has called Vancouver home most of her life. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with an honors in Sustainability from SFU. In her years prior to joining the team at Brooks Corning, she worked in sales management in the real estate development industry - prior to that she gained experience in operations management, customer service management, and corporate event planning. She is a detail-oriented, problem-solver, who is well equipped to see the project through from pre-conception to the finishing touch. Outside of the office, Natalie is an avid hiker and snowshoer, but if she's not in the mountains you'll likely meet her walking her spotted pup along the seawall or browsing with measuring tape in hand through furniture, decor, and antique shops. And yes, she will lend you her measuring tape.

Andrew previously worked for a government health insurance program in New Zealand and more recently a non-profit organization here in Vancouver. With Jacob’s background and his strong knowledge of computer software, he has a practical advantage for specifying the product required to ensure a seamless installation. Outside of work, Jacob enjoys playing guitar, as well as producing his own music and spending time with friends and family. She has worked at Walt Disney World twice, where she had access to their excellent customer service training program. Bart was born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand, and about a year ago he moved to Vancouver for outdoor adventures, rock climbing, and snowboarding. He has had a diverse work history with wide a variety of jobs and earned several qualifications including diplomas in commercial skydiving and computer engineering. He also holds a carpenter certificate, having dedicated a decade to building high-end architectural homes in New Zealand. Before moving to Canada, he studied architecture, which awakened his interest in quality handmade furniture with clever multi-purpose designs. Born in the North West Territories and raised on Vancouver Island, Hannah has spent her adulthood in Toronto, Vancouver, Manchester and most recently seven years in Singapore, where she covered all of Asia Pacific and spent the majority of her time doing business in India. Hannah spent eight years in the financial industry before she attended Ryerson University to study Interior Design. After six years working for a major national design firm, she transitioned into sales for Haworth. After fourteen years with Haworth, she left her post in Asia as the Director of Global Accounts and took a ten month sabbatical to travel Asia and North Africa. Hannah has now returned to her home in Vancouver, where the "air smells like trees" to focus on renovating her 100 year old house, exploring her artistic side, tending to her expansive garden and enjoying the next stage of her career.
Hannah has a passion for mentoring women, is a strong advocate for mental health and life balance, loves spending time deep in the BC forests, gazing out across the Pacific Ocean, trekking alongside rivers and an obsession with international travel.
